Braid

Design of the first three piece wheel in Spain in 1978. The technical department of Stral finalizes the first prototypes with own technology and materials totally nationals.

In 1979 Creation of Braid, segregating of Stral as an independent brand. The first set of commercialized wheels it is mounted in the SEAT 124 Gr2 Official of factory, piloted by Salvador Cañellas, who wins his race in the Calafat Circuit the day of the premiere and finally wins the Spanish Championship. They were 10"x13" of the 2 Series design.

Braid manufactur for the first time milimétrical TRX wheels. It equips to all competition official teams of Spain. Special series for the R5 Turbo with central engine. Enlargement and transfer of the factory to new instalations near Igualada in Vilanova del Camí.

In 1989 Transfer and enlargement of the factory. New production plant located in the Industrial area of Igualada, with four extended industrial ships. This allows the introduction of new laboratory machinery, like the Rolling Test developed by the own department of R+D.
